We are scholars, activists, students, researchers, trainers, teachers, adherents, advocates of nonviolent action. Initiated by Nonviolence International, the website is co-sponsored by many similar organizations.
We hope the site will fulfill a number of needs including:
a) a stronger global community of activists/scholars sharing information;
b) a venue to have conversations and plan together;
c) a resource to explore new practices and approaches in the field of nonviolence;
d) a site for teaching, training and pedagogy;
e) a site to respond to nonviolent activists who face dire threats.
The network supports a diversity of points of view about nonviolent action and nonviolence. We currently operate in English but would welcome blogs in other languages.
